Description
The idea for The Blue Chair came from a blue chair I used to sit in and read. The bookcase represents books....a major staple in my life. The idea of comfort is represented in this painting. To me...chairs are like people~ each is unique~ but some are easier to be with and more enjoyable than others.
I had this painting in a gallery for a while. One day I had just brought it back home and I found a message on my answering machine. Someone was interested in it. I took it back to the gallery and the client was so excited to see it. She had been looking at it for months.!I am happy to say that she bought it. It was Christmas time!

You put so many details in all of your beautiful room paintings ! It all adds to a warm, comfy, cozy feeling that invites the viewer to have a seat and relax. Another one of your great works !

Marlene, I can see why it sold. It is full of fun and the person's life is brightened just to have it hanging on the wall.

Gorgeous painting Marlene, glad to see you are still hard at work adding more ROBBINS masterpieces to the artworld. Thanks for commenting on my article in the Montreal Gazette. It came as a complete surprise to me,in fact the client discussed in the article, now living in Georgia, had just ordered 2 new pieces from me, one I shipped to her daughter, the other I delivered right here in Montreal. Painting can be so rewarding, when you discover just how important our paintings seem to be to others. Happy Easter, in advance...wishing you a wonderful springtime.
